
Player Safety and Ethics Committee
The MD/VA Player Safety and Ethics Committee is a group dedicated to ensuring player safety and comfort in the Super Smash Bros. community by increasing accountability and setting a consistent standard for behavior throughout the region. The PSEC seeks to respond to the needs and concerns of community members throughout the region by making substantive policy recommendations and providing a space for players who have been harmed to come forward while maintaining their privacy.

Our Commitment to You
We are dedicated to serving the participating TOs, venues, and events in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia. While our policies will mostly pertain to residents of these states, players who present a reasonable risk or have been credibly accused of serious offenses of the code of conduct may be subject to disciplinary recommendations before entering any Smash tournaments, venues, or related activities within the Committee’s purview.The Player Safety and Ethics Committee strongly encourages all members of the community to hold each other accountable. We are committed to maintaining these policies to keep Super Smash Bros. events a safe and comfortable place for all regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, class, disability, or other characteristics, without privilege, discrimination or bias.
